As part of the ongoing “අපේම අයට පිහිටක්” initiative, Richmond College has successfully launched the second phase of its humanitarian mission, focusing on the education of children affected by recent floods. This effort follows the completion of the first phase, which involved the full reconstruction of Gampola Jinaraja Girls’ School. The first day of this phase was carried out under the guidance of R.S.N. Maddumahewage, the respected Principal of Richmond College, at the school premises, marking a significant milestone in the mission. The event witnessed active participation and support from the Richmond College Teachers’ Welfare Association, Richmond Hopehub, the Old Students’ Association, academic and non-academic staff, and parents—all of whom contributed to the success of the initiative.
